We are thrilled to share a moment of great pride and inspiration from our current student community. Sattwik Swain, a bright and talented student of Class IV at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, has brought national glory to the school by winning the Under-9 National Open (Boys) Chess Championship held in Gurugram, Haryana.

Competing against a formidable pool of 320 participants from across the country, Sattwik demonstrated extraordinary strategic acumen, unwavering focus, and commendable determination to emerge as the National Champion. His achievement not only highlights his personal dedication but also reflects the nurturing environment and encouragement provided by the school for holistic development.

Such early excellence in a mentally demanding sport like chess is truly remarkable. Sattwik’s journey is a reminder that age is no barrier when passion and perseverance come together.

The entire DAV CSPur family — past and present — applauds Sattwik on this outstanding feat. We look forward to seeing him continue to scale greater heights and make the school and the state proud.
