The DAV Alumni community comes together this week with a heartfelt appeal—not to celebrate an achievement, but to stand beside one of our own during the most challenging chapter of her life.

Mayuri, a proud alumna of the 2010 Batch of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, has dedicated the last eight years of her life as a teacher at her alma mater, nurturing young minds with the same values that once shaped her own journey.

Today, at just 32 years of age, Mayuri is courageously battling advanced-stage cancer that has spread to her liver, lungs, lymph nodes, skull, and other parts of her body. Despite undergoing extensive treatment at KIMS Hospital, Bhubaneswar, HIIMS Hospital, Meerut, and currently at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, the road ahead remains long and financially overwhelming.

Her family has already exhausted their savings and borrowed over ₹5 lakh to meet the cost of treatment, diagnostics, travel, and related medical expenses. They now require an additional ₹15 lakh to continue the treatment that offers hope in this difficult fight.

For many of us, DAV is more than a school—it is a family. Today, one member of that family needs us. No contribution is too small.
