Post Covid generation of students have unique issues and it is increasingly difficult to take care of their mental health.
The school organised an interactive session to support the mental health of students of Classes X & XII to keep them motivated and provide them with tips on resilience specially with the pressures of the upcoming Board Examinations.
The session was conducted on 01.02.2025 in collaboration with a team of doctors from Dept of Psychiatry, AIIMS Bhubaneswar through their DDAP program outreach to make students aware of the mental health issues they might be facing and help them develop positive & adaptive skills to deal with them. Led by Dr. Ambika Sundas Faculty of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, along with Dr. Dhritiman Das Senior Resident, Dr. Pritiman Mishra and Dr. Kiran Mohanty, Junior Residents at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, the one hour program was informative and loaded with inquisitive queries from the students. Interestingly, Dr Kiran Mohanty who initiated this endeavor is a Alumnus of the school, batch of 2014.
We are grateful to have the panel of experts with their wealth of experience and expertise in the field of mental health, with a special focus on student well-being. Their extensive experience in managing anxiety and stress-related disorders makes them perfect to offer guidance and support on managing exam anxiety, along with the techniques of counseling and therapy which will be invaluable in helping the students develop strategies to manage exam anxiety and achieve their goals.
