In a heartfelt tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of our armed forces, DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur observed Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2025, with a special morning assembly dedicated to honouring the heroes of the Kargil War.

The event was made truly memorable by the presence of two distinguished guests — Kargil War veteran Col. S.K. Das (Retd.) and Shri Shishir Kumar Mishra, IPS (Retd.), former DGP, Jammu & Kashmir cadre. Their presence and powerful words brought a sense of reverence, pride, and deep reflection among students and staff alike.

Col. Das shared firsthand experiences from the battlefield, speaking of courage, resilience, and camaraderie — values that continue to define our armed forces. Shri Mishra, with his extensive service in one of the most sensitive regions of the country, added a valuable perspective on national security, sacrifice, and the role of civilians in safeguarding peace.

The entire school community listened with rapt attention, as stories of gallantry came alive. The assembly also featured patriotic performances and student speeches that paid homage to the indomitable spirit of the soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation during the Kargil conflict.
