Apurwa Masook, an alumnus of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur and Co-founder of SpaceFields, has reached a significant milestone with his deep-tech venture securing strategic investment in its recent funding round. SpaceFields is engaged in the development of advanced solid propulsion technologies for the aerospace and defence sectors, with a strong focus on precision engineering and indigenous capability building.

The investment marks a recognition of years of sustained effort, technological validation, and Apurwa’s unwavering commitment to transforming ambitious ideas into impactful solutions for India’s technological future.

An inspiring dimension of this success lies in the ecosystem that fostered such innovation. A student rocket club from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla, has gone on to produce several startups and entrepreneurs, including SpaceFields, demonstrating how focused academic communities can quietly become powerful engines of innovation.

Echoing this same spirit of purpose-driven creativity, Subhaditya Sundar Ray, a student of Class VIII, has achieved a notable academic milestone. His project titled “Seizure Alert – Detecting Seizures at the Earliest Condition” has been selected for the Final Offline Presentation at SPARK 2026, scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on 24 January 2026. The selection reflects the project’s originality, relevance, and potential social impact in the field of early medical intervention.

Together, these achievements - one by an alumnus contributing to national deep-tech advancement and another by a young student innovating for healthcare—beautifully capture the enduring DAV ethos of curiosity, perseverance, and innovation with purpose.
