The week at DAV Chandrasekharpur was marked by meaningful initiatives, proud achievements, and a collective spirit of responsibility.

On the eve of World Heart Day, the school hosted a Parents Awareness Program on heart health. Dr. Debashis Mohapatra, from the Department of Cardiology, Care Hospital, Bhubaneswar, delivered an engaging and insightful talk on the importance of taking care of the heart and preventing cardiovascular diseases. The session saw the active participation of 71 parents and teachers, who gained valuable tips for leading a heart-healthy lifestyle.

Adding to the pride of the school community, Laashya of Class V was honoured with the prestigious Odisha Youth ICON Award 2025. Recognized for her excellence in Art, Culture, Literature, and Social Work, she received the award from the Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha and the Odisha State Tourist Guide Association. Her achievement is a shining example of talent and commitment at a young age.

In line with the national mission of cleanliness, the school observed Swachh Bharat Diwas under the Swachhata Hi Sewa Campaign 2025. A special assembly was held on the theme “Swachhotsav”, where Dr. Anjushree Pradhan, Senior-most PGT, administered the Swachhata Pledge to students of Classes VI–X. Following the pledge, Civil Defence students enthusiastically cleaned the school field, reinforcing the message that small practices can lead to big results.
