The DAV Alumni community proudly celebrates a remarkable artistic milestone as our alumna Dr. Mayera Suman presents her first solo exhibition, “The Fly – A Study in Disrupted Visual Hierarchy.”

The exhibition will be held at the State Gallery of Art, Hyderabad (Gallery – 04) from 25th to 29th March 2026, open daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Marking an important chapter in her creative journey, “The Fly” is a deeply reflective body of work that invites viewers to look beyond the obvious and engage with the subtle layers of perception. Through thoughtfully composed animal portraits, Dr. Mayera explores the relationship between presence and attention, encouraging a more mindful way of seeing.

By centering a subtle yet meaningful element  “The fly”, within her compositions, the Dr. Mayera gently shifts the viewer’s focus, revealing how even the smallest presence can influence perception and hold significance. The works are unified by a striking visual language, where bold contrasts and restrained detailing guide the gaze, creating moments of quiet discovery and reflection.

The exhibition unfolds as more than a display of art; it becomes a meditation on observation, coexistence, and the fluid nature of importance. It encourages viewers to slow down, to notice, and to appreciate the understated elements that often shape our experience in profound ways.
