The Annual Sports Meet 2023-24 was a resounding success, showcasing the unwavering spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the students. The theme of the meet, based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) passed on G20, highlighted the global and national goals that we strive to achieve.

The meet kicked off with a vibrant opening ceremony, where the esteemed dignitaries of the day were warmly welcomed. The enchanting melodies of the DAV GAAN, accompanied by eloquent verses and lyrical grace, captured the essence of our institution's spirit. The school choir, a harmonious tapestry of celestial voices, serenaded our souls with a symphony that echoed the melodies of unity and inspiration.
 

Our esteemed Principal, Dr. Sujata Sahu, illuminated the luminary achievements of our school, showcasing our commitment to academic and extracurricular brilliance. The precision and fervor displayed during the school march past exemplified discipline, unity, and our collective pride marching in unison. The unfurling of the flag marked the official commencement of the Annual Sports Meet, declared open by our esteemed Chief Guest.

The lighting of the Olympic torch by our energetic athletes symbolized the start of the various sporting events. The recitation of the Olympic oath by the Sports Secretary further reinforced the spirit of fair play and sportsmanship. The vibrant Red Panda, the event's mascot, charmed everyone with its presence and spread awareness about its conservation, adding a touch of positivity and goodwill to the occasion.

The event also witnessed the felicitation of the meritorious achievers for the session 2023-24. Our Chief Guest, Shri Amitabh Thakur, IPS Transport Commissioner Odisha, was graciously honored for his invaluable contribution to the success of our event. His eloquent and insightful address resonated as a beacon of wisdom, leaving an indelible impression of enlightenment and motivation.

The house drills, based on the SDGs, showcased a commendable fusion of discipline, coordination, and spirited enthusiasm, painting a vivid canvas of unity and preparedness within our vibrant school community. Shri Brigesh Kumar Ray, IPS, and Additional Commissioner of Police graced the valedictory ceremony as the esteemed Chief Guest, infusing the event with his wisdom and an aura of profound inspiration.

The thrilling relay races, both for boys and girls, encapsulated the essence of athleticism, showcasing determination and synchronized excellence. The relay race organized for the supporting staff fostered a jubilant atmosphere of inclusivity and camaraderie. The march past during the valedictory ceremony mesmerized with its flawless coordination and dignified poise, painting a vivid tableau of collective pride.

The felicitation of the Champions of all the Sports Events celebrated the unwavering dedication, sportsmanship, and collective effort of the houses. The best houses in various categories were honored for their outstanding performances, radiating an aura of celebration and acknowledgment. The felicitation of our beloved mascot, the Red Panda, added to the joyous celebration.

With the lowering of the flag and the Slow March, the Sports Meet drew to a close, marking the end of spirited competitions and the culmination of moments filled with camaraderie and unforgettable memories. The festivities continued with the joyous spirit of Christmas, as the School Cabinet extended warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and Sarbadaman Sir embraced the role of Santa Claus, spreading the magic of the season.
